These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Review Canvas website and any request you submit for a Review Reality Check.

In these Terms, "Eric Marquis," "we," "us" and "our" refer to Eric Marquis, and "Site" refers to The Review Canvas website.

By using the Site or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or submit information through it.

The Review Canvas provides general educational information about earning, answering, examining and appropriately reusing customer reviews.

The information is intended to help businesses understand review practices and make informed decisions. It is not legal, accounting, regulatory or other professional advice. Platform policies and legal requirements may change, and users remain responsible for determining which requirements apply to their businesses.

A Review Reality Check is a focused examination of a business's publicly visible review presence.

It may identify matters such as:

• Information that may be helping build trust.
• Information that may be creating doubt.
• Reviews that have not received useful responses.
• Possible opportunities involving eligible past customers.
• Recurring customer language or themes.
• Comparisons with businesses a customer may reasonably consider.
• Three initial actions that may deserve attention.

Every Review Reality Check is personally examined by Eric Marquis. It is not an automated score.

Submitting a request does not create an obligation to purchase anything. It also does not guarantee a particular result, customer response, review volume, rating, search position, revenue outcome or business outcome.

We may decline or limit a request if the information is incomplete, inaccurate, abusive, outside the intended scope or otherwise inappropriate.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a Review Reality Check request.

You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorized to provide.

Do not submit:

• Passwords or account credentials.
• Payment-card or bank information.
• Medical or treatment information.
• Confidential legal information.
• Government identification numbers.
• Private information belonging to customers, patients, clients, employees or other people.
• Material you are not authorized to provide.

You remain responsible for reviewing and approving any action taken by your business.

When you submit an email address, you authorize us to use it to respond to your request, ask necessary questions, deliver the Review Reality Check and provide directly related follow-up.

You may ask us to stop nonessential email communication by contacting epm@ericmarquis.net.

The Site's original writing, framework, organization, graphics, branding and other original material are owned by Eric Marquis or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the educational guidance and sample scripts internally within your own business. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, scrape, distribute or present substantial portions of the Site as your own product or service without written permission.

"The Review Canvas," the CANVAS framework and "Review Reality Check" may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests affiliation, approval or authorship.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or associated systems.
• Introduce malicious code or interfere with Site operation.
• Submit false or misleading information.
• Use the Site to harass, impersonate or harm another person.
• Copy or commercially exploit Site content beyond the permission granted in these Terms.
• Use review practices that violate applicable law or a platform's policies.

The Site may discuss or link to third-party services, including Google Business Profile and other review platforms.

Eric Marquis is not Google and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Third-party platforms control their own services, availability, policies, rankings and enforcement decisions.

Links are provided for convenience and education. We are not responsible for the content, operation or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Review activity depends on customers, platforms, business operations, market conditions and other factors outside our control.

We do not promise or guarantee:

• A particular number of reviews.
• Positive reviews or ratings.
• Removal of negative reviews.
• Improved rankings or visibility.
• Increased leads, customers or revenue.
• Approval by Google or another platform.
• Approval of an SMS registration or messaging campaign.

Any examples are educational illustrations and not promises of future performance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not warrant that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every business or purpose. Nothing on the Site replaces advice from a qualified professional familiar with your particular circumstances.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eric Marquis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Site or reliance on its content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We may update, suspend or discontinue portions of the Site or these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in New Jersey, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
