Eric Marquis operates The Review Canvas and offers the Review Reality Check. In this Privacy Policy, "Eric Marquis," "we," "us" and "our" refer to Eric Marquis, and "Site" refers to The Review Canvas website.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use and protect it, when it may be disclosed and the choices available to you.
By using the Site or submitting information through it, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information You Provide
When you request a Review Reality Check or contact us, you may provide:
- Your first name.
- Your business name.
- Your city and state.
- Your website or Google Business Profile URL.
- Your email address.
- Your mobile number, if you choose to provide it.
- Information or concerns you ask us to examine.
- Your communication preferences and SMS-consent choice.
Please do not submit passwords, payment-card information, medical information, legal case information or other sensitive or confidential information through the Review Reality Check form.
Communication and Consent Records
We may retain records of communications, form submissions, consent selections, consent dates and times, opt-out requests and related interactions.
Technical Information
When you use the Site, the Site and its service providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited and general interaction data. Cookies or similar technologies may be used to operate, secure and understand use of the Site.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through the Site to:
- Review and respond to your request.
- Prepare and deliver a requested Review Reality Check.
- Ask questions needed to understand or complete your request.
- Schedule or coordinate related communication.

- Communicate by SMS only when you have separately and expressly consented.
- Operate, maintain, protect and improve the Site.
- Prevent misuse, fraud or security problems.
- Maintain records of consent and communication preferences.

- Protect our rights and the rights of others.
4. SMS Communications
Providing a mobile number and consenting to SMS are optional. Neither is a condition of requesting or receiving a Review Reality Check.
If you expressly select the SMS-consent checkbox, you agree to receive non-marketing text messages from Eric Marquis at the mobile number provided concerning the Review Reality Check you requested. These messages may include clarification questions, scheduling, delivery and directly related follow-up.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for assistance. Reply STOP to opt out. You may also withdraw SMS consent by emailing epm@ericmarquis.net or through another reasonable method that clearly communicates your request.
After you opt out, we may send one final non-promotional message confirming the opt-out. We will then stop SMS messages covered by that consent unless you later provide new consent.
Withdrawing SMS consent does not prevent you from communicating with us by email or receiving a requested Review Reality Check by another available method.
Consent given through this form does not authorize unrelated promotional or marketing text messages.
5. How Information May Be Disclosed
Service Providers
We may use service providers and subcontractors to support functions such as website hosting, form processing, customer-relationship management, email delivery, SMS delivery, data storage, security and customer service. They may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide those supporting services.
Legal and Safety Requirements
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process or governmental requests; investigate fraud or misuse; enforce our terms; or protect rights, property or safety.
No Sale of Personal Information
Eric Marquis does not sell or rent personal information collected through this Site.
Mobile-Information Commitment
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors and service providers solely to support services such as customer service, CRM operation, website hosting, email delivery and SMS delivery. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for operation, security, performance and basic measurement. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some Site functions.

The Site and the Review Reality Check are intended for business owners and other adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The Site discusses and may link to services operated by third parties, including Google. Those platforms have their own privacy practices, rules and terms. This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party websites or platforms.
